Welcome 2020. I could have written this a couple of weeks ago, but the truth is that until now I haven't had the time to think about everything I've learned in 2019, but it's been a lot and it's been good.
1- Getting older isn't a bad thing. I turned 40 this year, and although at some point in my life I saw this age as something dreadful, the truth is that getting older no longer seems like a bad thing to me. On the contrary, I feel better than ever, and I appreciate every wrinkle on my skin, although I still find it hard to see my gray hairs.
2- Self-care is necessary. Having a moment each day, even if it's just a little while, to do something for yourself is essential and can take many forms. Sometimes it's reading a bit longer, other times it's going to bed at 9 pm. It doesn't matter how you take care of yourself, as long as you do it.
3- Recycling is not enough. Although separating and putting waste in the correct container sounds great, using and recycling is not the solution to the global waste problem. The first step is to use less, and what we do use should not be single-use.
4- Having more doesn't mean living better. I already knew this, but it's something I think is good to constantly relearn, especially in this era where it's so easy to think that others have more and live better than we do.
5- Being "the odd one out" isn't a bad thing, and people get used to it. My friends and neighbors already know that we eat differently at home—because we eat healthily and no sweets or junk food are allowed. At first, it's a little hard to say no to offers of ice cream or processed desserts for the kids, but after a while, people get used to it and stop offering them.
And while I enjoy looking back to see what we've learned, we can't just dwell on that. Life goes on, and we have to keep moving forward. This is what I want for 2020.
1. To be more present in everything I do. Being able to do many things at once, the famous multitasking , isn't so wonderful. I hope that this year I can focus properly on each thing I do so that if I'm with a friend, I'm truly present, and if I'm at work, I can give it my all during those hours.
2. Say no when necessary. It's impossible to do everything; the list of responsibilities that can fall on one person is limitless. That's why saying no to things I can't do well is good for me and for others, since it doesn't benefit anyone to do things halfway. However, when I do take responsibility for something, I have to give it my all.
3- On a professional level, I want Salud Mediterránea to continue growing because I see the impact this company has on our team—mostly women, by the way—and on our clients. A few months ago, we sent you a survey where many of you told us, among other things, what we should improve. In 2020, I hope to offer you many of those improvements.
4- Continue taking care of myself and those around me. My body and my needs are changing, and I want to continue taking care of myself to live well every day of my life.
5- Do more of the things I love. I think it's very easy to put aside the things we enjoy most to make room for the things we have to do. This year I want to prioritize at least one of my passions.
I hope we continue to see each other in stores, on social media and on the website, and that 2020 is a great year for you.

Gracias
