Campo y Bebida Caliente

They say that "bathing" in the forest reduces stress hormones, increases feelings of happiness, lowers blood pressure, and boosts the immune system. Personally, I find it wonderful.

I feel free and welcomed at the same time, I move in ways different from the usual - dodging branches, going down slopes - and I manage to disconnect from technology, except to take the occasional photo.

I love walks in summer and spring, but I think I enjoy them even more in autumn and winter. Being bundled up but feeling the cold on my face wakes me up and cheers me up during the months when feeling down seems so easy. And if I finish the walk with a warm drink, it's the perfect plan, and I highly recommend it.

These are four of my favorite drinks to warm me up after a cold walk in the countryside.

Hot chocolate: I love the classic, but after a walk, I prefer this much lighter version .

Matcha Latte: There are many versions, but with these tips that Lucía from Cocinando el Cambio gave me a while ago it's delicious: a teaspoon of matcha well beaten in hot water, add warm plant-based milk, cinnamon, cardamom and honey (or coconut sugar) to taste.

Miso broth: Super easy to make, just add a heaping tablespoon of red miso to hot, but not boiling, water. It's incredibly comforting.

Coffee: It's been good for ages, but brewed in a pot or with a French press is wonderful. If you add a teaspoon of coconut oil, you'll get a creamy sensation without needing to add milk.

What's your favorite fall plan? Do you have a favorite hot drink?
