5 HTP with GABARELAX™ Árbol Verde is a dietary supplement containing 5-HTP and a proprietary formula of naturally sourced GABA. Both compounds are used to help regulate stress, sleep, and cognitive function.
This supplement replaces the GABA Green Tree, which has been discontinued.
5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan) is a precursor to serotonin, which is produced in the body from the essential amino acid L-tryptophan, found in foods such as chicken, cheese, and nuts. The body converts tryptophan into 5-HTP, and from this it produces serotonin.
Although we can obtain tryptophan through food, tryptophan supplements, or 5-HTP derived from the seeds of Griffonia simplicifolia , a woody shrub native to Africa, can also be taken to improve problems stemming from a serotonin deficiency. Our bodies assimilate 5-HTP better than tryptophan, and can also produce serotonin directly, without having to convert it .
GABA is a neurotransmitter naturally present in the human body that inhibits the nervous system. This natural substance, which in the case of our product with GABARELAX™ comes from the fermentation of Lactobacillus hilgardii , acts like a sponge, helping to absorb excess adrenaline, regulating stress, and inducing relaxation.
