Esencia Verde BIO Facial Cream with Vitamin C is a fluid cream recommended for dry and/or mature skin, skin with age spots, and skin regularly exposed to sun, wind, cold, and/or pollution—environmental factors that affect the skin.
This natural face cream is formulated with ingredients that have antioxidant, depigmenting, anti-wrinkle, anti-aging and photoprotective properties, such as stabilized vitamin C, shea butter, jojoba oil and bakuchiol, a plant alternative to retinol that is very effective, but at the same time is photostable and can be tolerated by sensitive skin.
The BIO Facial Cream with Vitamin C Green Essence is an ideal complement to the Serum with Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid Green Essence.
What is stabilized vitamin C?
Vitamin C is an important ingredient in cosmetics because it supports the natural production of collagen, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and keeping skin more elastic. It also inhibits the overproduction of melanin, thus preventing the appearance of age spots and sun damage. However, some forms of vitamin C are too harsh for sensitive skin and oxidize easily.
The BIO Green Essence Facial Cream with Vitamin C contains 10% stabilized vitamin C in the form of ascorbyl glucoside , obtained by joining glucose and ascorbic acid to achieve a vitamin C that is stable against oxidation.
This ingredient is gentle and can be used on sensitive skin.
Why use a retinol alternative?
Retinol is a very effective cosmetic ingredient for maintaining a healthy and youthful appearance of the skin; however, it can be very harsh on sensitive skin.
Bakuchiol comes from a plant native to India and has been used in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. Like retinol, it stimulates collagen production and helps to make skin smoother and more elastic. However, it does not have the side effects that can occur with the use of stronger ingredients.
The Green Essence Vitamin C Facial Cream contains 0.5% Bakuchiol in its ingredients.
