It's March, how are you doing with your New Year's resolutions?
If you're like most people, you've probably already given up on them. If you don't mind having let them go, that's fine, but if you really want to achieve those goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year, we have some tips for you.
1 - What were your goals? If you wrote a list of your goals, reread them and consider how you're progressing. Have you managed to achieve any of them yet? Which ones are on track? Which ones have you completely forgotten about?
2. For the goals you still want to achieve, create a roadmap for the coming months to help you realistically accomplish them. For example, if one of your goals is to learn to play an instrument, sign up for lessons and make time to practice every day.
3- Buy tickets for the events and/or trips you want to take. Don't leave it unfinished, because ticket prices tend to increase as the departure date approaches, and event tickets sell out quickly.
4- Accept the goals you won't be able to achieve. It's not about giving up, but about being realistic. Maybe your goal was to take a transatlantic trip, but you know that's financially impossible. You're probably disappointed, but you can surely make other great and cheaper plans.
5- Without fear. Consider whether you haven't started any of the goals you've set for yourself because you're afraid of failing. Be brave, even if just for a moment, and go for that goal. If you don't even start, you've already failed.
I wonder if one of your New Year's resolutions is to take better care of yourself. If so, but you haven't quite managed it yet, I suggest you change just one thing in your day, for example, drinking water and herbal teas instead of soda, or taking a walk every morning. A single change that becomes a habit is already a sign of taking better care of yourself, and it will surely encourage you to make another change, and then another, and another...
