Quercetin is a bioflavonoid with anti-inflammatory properties found naturally in fruits and vegetables, with onions being a particularly rich natural source. Quercetin supports the immune system by inhibiting viral replication. It also inhibits the release of histamine, improving both respiratory and ocular allergy symptoms. The antihistamine effect of quercetin helps prevent both environmental and food-related allergic reactions*.
In addition, quercetin is mucolytic, expectorant, antitussive, diuretic, antibiotic, vasodilator, and stimulates scalp circulation and hair nourishment. Its beneficial effects in preventing hypertension are particularly noteworthy.
Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme known for being naturally present in pineapple. It is used as an anti-inflammatory and is therefore beneficial for muscle injuries. It also helps reduce excess mucus in the respiratory tract.
Proteolytic enzymes, such as bromelain, break down proteins, helping to eliminate pathogenic microorganisms and parasites in the gut and thus improving digestion. Like serrapeptase, bromelain helps reduce platelet aggregation, preventing the formation of atherosclerosis.
We add Vitamin C to the Quercetin and Bromelain from Herbolario S. Mediterránea to help with better absorption of both enzymes.
Quercetin is a non-citrus bioflavonoid that, when combined with vitamin C, has a synergistic effect whose absorption is increased by bromelain.
