Cómo crear un hogar acogedor. Vida saludable.

I realized a while ago that the life we lead is difficult. The stress, uncertainty, and instability that many of us feel makes our daily lives truly exhausting, not just physically, though that too, but emotionally.

Our home, however, can be the refuge we all need at the end of the day and during our days off.

Not everyone has the luxury of a huge house, professionally decorated, but these luxuries aren't necessary to have a welcoming home. A few simple changes can transform your house into a warm and inviting place you'll want to return to every night—even if you've spent a lot of time indoors in recent years.

1- Minimize and organize: Clutter—both what we see and what's hidden in closets and storage rooms—creates a sense of chaos that affects us. Sell and donate things you don't need, repair what's broken, and recycle what's beyond repair. Then organize each space, thinking about how you use everything.

A tip: don't do it all at once; take it one step at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. If you organize something but it doesn't work, keep trying until you find a system that does.

2- Incorporate natural textiles into your home: Linen and cotton are wonderful for cushion covers, and wool blankets are warm and have a weight that helps us relax when we put them on our bodies. Shake, wash, and sunbathe your textiles (taking into account the needs of each one) to keep them clean.

3- Bring a plant (or four) into your life: Even if you live in the countryside, it's always nice to have a touch of nature indoors. Pothos are very easy to care for, but if you're feeling adventurous with other, more delicate plants, you can fill your home with textures, color variations, shapes, and sizes, creating an indoor garden.

4- Avoid synthetic scents and fragrances. The fragrances in cleaning and air freshener products are not only unpleasant for people with allergies or sensitivities. There are effective natural cleaners on the market, and you can also use vinegar (whose smell dissipates quite quickly), salt, and baking soda, for example, to make your own. If you want to scent your home, you can use essential oils (always natural ones), candles (also those without toxic substances), or incense, if you like those aromas. Here you can see some of the home products we offer.

5- Add personal touches to your home. The homes in magazines are beautiful in many cases, but there's nothing like a home that's been lived in, enjoyed, and personalized. A family photo, a souvenir from a trip, or an inherited painting are not only lovely mementos but also great conversation starters when you have guests.

I hope these tips help you create a home where you can enjoy your well-deserved moments of rest.
