Tu piel más limpia, sana y bonita

For several months now my skin has been better than ever, and even when I first wake up it looks luminous, even, clean and healthy.

The secret is simply a series of changes I've made to my routine in recent months; some I've been doing for longer, but the combination of these changes is what has noticeably improved my skin.

I'll tell you what I do, because I think it could work well for you too:

1. Cleanse and moisturize at night. We've been told this forever, but honestly, it's taken me a while to make it a routine. To cleanse, I use the Esencia Verde Facial Cleansing Gel , which is gentle but cleanses deeply. To moisturize, I use the Hyaluronic Acid Facial Serum and Argan Oil , both from Esencia Verde.

2- Sleep more and better. I have two young children and I work, which means I have little time for myself, and even less time alone. During the first few years as a mother, I went to bed very late trying to enjoy as many hours alone as possible. I often fell asleep on the sofa very early, but then I would wake up and go back to bed feeling unresponsive. Although I slept enough hours, interrupted sleep is not the same as sleeping through the night. For several months now, I've been going to bed early almost every day of the week, which makes me wake up more rested, happy, and calm—and with rejuvenated skin.

3- Drink more water. I love having coffee in the morning, but the problem is that I end up drinking less water. So while the coffee is brewing, I drink a glass or two of water. Between meals and throughout the rest of the day, I also try to drink more, and I manage to do this by carrying a stainless steel water bottle with me.

4- Exfoliate once or twice a week. In the mornings, since I've washed my face at night, I don't need to wash it again with anything other than water unless I've been for a run, although I usually do that. But once or twice a week I use the Green Essence Facial Scrub . Afterwards, I use a moisturizer; I really like this one from Weleda .

5- Early dinner and dandelion tea. Every night after putting the children to bed, I drink dandelion tea . Dandelion is diuretic, and being bitter, it stimulates the liver and aids digestion, although since I've eaten dinner early, digestion isn't a concern, as at least two or three hours pass before I go to sleep.

The skin reveals a lot about a person's health, and usually the problems we have on our skin are symptoms of health problems - hormonal imbalances, lack of sleep, etc.

If you have very problematic skin, you should consult a specialist, but although there is nothing miraculous, the steps I explain above can help you to also have clean and healthy skin.
